  • Section 8.44.050 Santa Monica Municipal Code: Requirements for automatic extinguishing and protection sprinkler systems. This section provides detailed information for when a fire sprinkler system is required to be installed. 
    
• Fire Alarm Systems 
  
• Central Station Monitoring Systems 
  
• Wet Chemical (Hood) Systems 
  
• Clean Agent (Halon Alternative) Systems 
  
• Mechanical Smoke Control Systems
   
  
• Construction Plan Review 
  These are the minimum requirements where applicable when submitting construction plans for review submittal. 
  
• Submittals are made at 1685 Main Street, in the Building & Safety Division. 
  
• Construction Plans require six (6) sets to be submitted.
   
  
• General Fire & Life Safety Guidelines 
  Guidelines for businesses on items of concern to the Fire Department when conducting an annual inspection.
   
  
• 5 Year Certification Fire Sprinkler System 
  Santa Monica Fire Department standard report for 5-year service testing of automatic fire sprinkler and standpipe systems.
