Emergency Preparedness

Have you "Got 7"?
Recent events have taught all of us that we need to keep at
least 7 days of supplies on hand in case of an emergency so we can take care of
ourselves and our families until emergency services are available to assist.
The Santa Monica Fire Department has teamed up with the American Red Cross of
Santa Monica encourage the entire community to “Get 7” and pledge to make Santa
Monica the most prepared city in the country!
It’s easy to participate! Use our handy 7 item checklist to gather the necessary
supplies for you and your family and fill out the "I've Got 7" pledge form online.

What do I do if...?
The best way to get through a disaster is to be prepared. The Santa Monica Fire Department's Emergency Services Coordinator helps ensure that the city, its citizens,
and first responders work together to build, sustain, and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards.
Below are resources and guides to help you prepare yourself, your family, your company and even your pets for any kind of disaster. If you have any questions or need more
information, please feel free to contact Emergency Services Coordinator Paul Weinberg at the email or number listed.
